Cypress Technologies and Seismic Instruments Announce Strategic Partnership

Leander, Tx /June 13, 2017. – Cypress Technologies announced a strategic partnership with Seismic Instruments, Inc. that will combine the technology of revolutionary seismic acquisition systems with rugged reliable manufacturing capabilities. Cypress CEO Greg Child said, “We’ve known Seismic Instruments for years, as both a client for our contract manufacturing services, as well as an industry specialist in seismic acquisition systems.  The ability to integrate our rugged, reliable manufacturing ability with SI’s class-leading instrumentation is a powerful move.”  Financial terms were not disclosed.

With the recent upswing in crude oil prices, fracking operators will increase requirements for more production projects.  SI’s wireless Universal Node system is the best fracturing monitoring system, featuring full precision data return to a Central Recording Truck, enabling the frac-operator to optimize the frac- parameters in real-time. Whether in complete data acquisition and recording systems for land and transition zone seismic surveys, or as recently released next-generation seismic acquisition hardware and software sold as modular components of a system, SI has a solution.

SI staff will continue with engineering and marketing activities, however, SI’s manufacturing operations have been moved to Cypress Technologies Austin area facility.  “Our partnership combines the best technology with the best quality,” states SI’s President, Geza Nemeth.  Geza adds, “Cypress Technologies has over 30 years of experience in rugged reliable manufacturing.  The partnership is the perfect turn-key solution for some of the most technologically advanced products in the seismic industry.”

Cypress Technologies is a full-service integrator with ISO 9001:2008 certification and assemblers trained to IPC-A-610 Level 3 standards building full turnkey box & panel assemblies; PCB assemblies; advanced battery/controller assemblies; and cable & harness assemblies.  Additionally, Cypress Technologies offers engineering design, prototyping, low-volume programs, and failure analysis.  For more information click here.

Seismic Instruments, Inc., was founded in 2002 with the goal of developing single-sensor-per-channel seismic acquisition systems.  These systems include integrated single sensors or user definable external sensors, data gathering hardware, and central system software for data-acquisition control, monitoring and recording in industry-standard formats.  Geza Nemeth, founder and president, has more than 40 years of experience and is recognized as a visionary in seismic technology.
