A Houston Homecoming for Cypress Technologies at the 87th Annual SEG Meeting

Leander, Texas, September 12, 2017, Cypress Technologies, the industry leader in rugged, reliable manufacturing, is exhibiting at the 87^th Annual SEG Meeting held in Houston, Texas on September 24-28, 2017 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Cypress Technologies is excited to showcase rugged, reliable manufacturing services to a global group of geoscientists at The SEG 87^th Annual Meeting.  The Annual Meeting has drawn upwards of 10,000 attendees in the past, bringing together some of the world-renowned experts in geoscience.  This year, despite the devastation from Hurricane Harvey, the turn-out is promising.  Although the floods of Hurricane Harvey took a devastating toll on the city of Houston, the Convention Center officials and the City of Houston confirmed that they will be ready to accommodate participants.  The Annual Meeting will be the first conference of this magnitude to be hosted in Houston since the destruction of Harvey.

The SEG Board of Directors are committed to supporting the city of Houston, and SEG participants, stating, “What a great opportunity the Annual Meeting provides to focus many of the brightest minds in the geosciences on the restoration of Houston!”  Founded in 1930, by a group of 30 people, in Houston at the University Club, it seems only fitting that the SEG would be extending a helping hand and hosting in the city where it all began.

Cypress Technologies has attended The Annual SEG Meetings for many years.  However, this year’s significance stems from the restoration and revival of the oil & gas sector.  2017 is a year of diversification and growth for Cypress and also a homecoming.  With over 30 years of service to the oil & gas industry, Cypress Technologies revisits the major metropolitan city of Houston, near their humble beginnings of former small town, Cypress, Texas, to once again attend the largest gathering of geoscientist from around the world.
